Looking Beyond the Stethoscope: The Social Determinants of Respiratory Care


Social determinants of health are the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age. Disparities in these conditions may affect a person’s health status. This presentation will focus on social determinants that have a direct impact on respiratory care and the literature demonstrating the connection between social and economic status and health.

Successful completion of this course requires a score of 70% on the post-test.
